about us

Since 1926, when the Garver Family settled on a small farm outside of Monroe, they have been stewards of the land. Growing vegetables for self-consumption, like many familiies in the past, became a rewarding hobby and sometimes a necessity . Our society has now changed, and for most households the only source for vegetables is the local grocery store.

boxIn 1991, Michael decided to give the public a choice, filling the much needed demand for a "home grown product." The decision was made to clear a small section of a barn and attempt to market two vegtables, sweet corn and tomatoes. During the early years of our business, we were overwhelmed with request for different items attempting to integrate a few new things each year.

Our farm market now offers twenty-two different varieties of fruits and vegetables along with fresh breads, baked goods and ice cream. The Fall product line includes pumpkins ranging in size up to 200 pounds, cornshocks, apple cider and home grown chrysanthemums. Although the scale of our market has changed, our first responsibility has not. We offer a fresh and economical field to table product, for local families and friends. Enjoy!
